Three official Wedding Photos have been released by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their Wedding on Saturday (May 19).
The pictures, taken by Alexi Lubomirski, include a group photograph with bridesmaids and close family, including their parents and the Queen.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released three official photographs from their Wedding day. These photographs were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at Windsor Castle, following the carriage procession.”
The couple would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations on Saturday, Kensington Palace said.
“Their Royal Highnesses are delighted with these official portraits,” a statement added.
The bride had 10 bridesmaids and pageboys including Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Mr Lubomirski was chosen by the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex to photograph their wedding after taking their official engagement portraits after making their big announcement in December.The father-of-two, who was born in the UK, was a protégé of Mario Testino who was beloved by Harry’s mother Princess Diana and photographed William and Kate when they got engaged in 2010.
Famed for his portraits of leading ladies the New York based fashion photographer Mr Lubomirski is normally found shooting for fashion magazines like Vogue and Harpers Bazaar and can count celebrities including Beyoncé, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Scarlett Johansson among his subjects.
He added that there was no effort needed to capture the couple in a variety of romantic poses, after telling them to just be themselves while he took their pictures.
Mr Lubomirski, said it had been an “incredible honour” to document the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s “inspiring journey of love”.”This has been a beautiful chapter in my career and life, that I will happily never forget”
