Bridge Cottage, Peppercombe in North Devon.

The idyllic (and brilliantly pink) Bridge Cottage, at Peppercombe in North Devon.

This thatched cottage is set in the Peppercombe Valley, (situated on the South West Coast Path between Westward Ho! to the north and Bucks Mills to the west), next to a path that leads down to a stony, deserted beach. With its orchard and small garden, Bridge Cottage is a reminder of ordinary life lived in remote places over many centuries.

The colour pink was chosen to match that found on the old render

during the restoration work on the cottage.
