♔Mill-lane- Halnaker| near Chichester in West Sussex

Mill Lane, is a public footpath in Halnaker (pronounced Ha’naker), near Chichester in West Sussex, in the South Downs National Park.

This ancient track follows the route of Stane Street, the London to Chichester Roman road, and there’s a real feeling of stepping back in time as you pass through the wonderful tunnel of trees.

Once at the end, the footpath turns north up Halnaker Hill, leading to Halnaker Windmill. The views across the surrounding countryside are spectacular, and on a clear day you can even glimpse the sea in the distance.
