Wuthering Heights is the only published novel by Emily Brontë, the middle sister of the world-famous Brontë sisters. An isolated, painfully shy woman, she produced one of the most distinctive novels in literature and some of the greatest poetry. Her character and life are as singular as her book, which was written between October 1845 and June 1846, but was not printed until December 1847 under the pseudonym Ellis Bell. Today considered a great classic of English literature.
